WARNING- THIS FIC HAS A LEMON IN IT.

Sasuke cautiously crept into the kitchen. Good – he had the place to himself, away from his parents’ restrictive admonitions. Grinning mischievously, he climbed on the dangerously wobbly stool and peered around the benchtop. Soon the abundant bowl of variegated fruit caught his eye. Greedily, he reached forward for an enticing yellow one, and was just about to chomp into it when his wrist was grabbed, stopping him.

“You don’t want to eat that, otouto,” said Itachi rather wearily.

“Why not, aniki?” asked Sasuke pleadingly, his natural curiosity being strong. “Have you had these before?”

Itachi blinked. “You should wait until you’re older before you try to eat lemons,” he answered, rather exasperated.

Sasuke pouted. He didn’t like the limitations of being young. “It’s not fair! I want to do everything adults do!” he shouted, but obediently placed it back in the fruit bowl. Itachi breathed a sigh of relief, and started to turn away.

Sasuke looked wistfully at his aniki. Ever since Itachi had advanced in his position, he never had time to play with him. Plus, being an affectionate child, Sasuke liked to hug people, but Itachi never seemed to go out of his way to do that.

Smiling, Sasuke let himself fall off the wobbly stool, knowing that Itachi would never let him get hurt. He giggled as he found himself wrapped in his aniki’s arms, lying on Itachi’s chest since Itachi had cushioned the fall with his body.

“Aaah,” groaned Itachi, placing a hand at the back of his head. Sasuke was smirking at him, satisfied. Itachi raised an eyebrow, resigned to Sasuke’s attention-seeking ways, but couldn’t get mad since it always warmed his heart at how eager Sasuke was to be with him.   

“I’m going to eat that lemon now,” stated Sasuke, smirking at the incapacitated Itachi, and got up to reach for the fruit bowl.
